Simple steps to starting a budget videoOk Here is day two of my video challenge,  Dang it took forever to upload.  I will work on that. At least its still the second.

In this video I have shared a common question how to starting a budget.  To many this is an easy thing to think about but others not so much.  These steps are how to get started they are not overly in depth but a way to get pointed in the right direction. Not everyones budget is going to be the same so there is no set way to budget. You just need to take ideas from others and put them to work in your life.  Kinda like parenting, I think, everyone has their way to do it and no way is right, when you need help you ask several people and implement what you feel will work best for you.

Here I share tips to starting a budget starting with pen and paper before heading to the computer.  Tips include

Getting bills together and write each one down
Figure out incoming income simply taking a good look at your pay stubs
How to divide the money to last the month – Divide it by 4 the number of weeks in the month. Then from there set aside gas and food money to make sure there is enough based on the projected income.
How to get the know what you are spending – I keep a planner to keep track of spending. On Sundays I put the amount that we have that is spendable during the week then during the week I keep track of how that money is spent. This way I know were my money is going

Why it is important to bring your kids in to budgeting because the sooner they learn about money the more prepared they will be when they get out of the house on their own. Tips to budget in things such as copays that may be needed if you need to take your child to the Dr.  Then if you don’t use that money, add it to your savings or maybe a special  family or date night.
